Disc 1 is a compilation of session works before Jimi went to solo, not so attractive tracks (but beautifully remastered, superior sound guaranteed).
So for me, this is like "The Anthology" series of The Beatles, I mean it's just like I can't recommend it for beginners of the Beatles fan.

DVD is titled Jimi Hendrix: Voodoo Child, directed by Bob Smeaton, narrated by Bootsy Collins of Jimi's own words, filled with footage of his greatest performance and referring lots of Jimi's letter to his father, memos and more rare materials to describe Jimi's history along them, very interesting.
