Toko Furuuchi "KOI NO AKI" TOUR

Although been fan of TF for a long time, we have not been attended her live so much (under 10 times, 1st one was in Maho No Kusuri 1997@ NHK Hall) , but her live @ Joe's Pub, NYC was very impressive, mostly only her piano with pre-production material with Mac. Played 10 songs include not yet released "Swallow".

Back to this tour, accompanied with Masato Ishinari, now very famous for his guitar play collaborate with lots of Japanese recording artists.
We attended the show last night (2nd stage @ Motion Blue Yokohama).
They looked very intimate playing the songs together since they played together for 15 years and their interplay was quite good!

Encore song was CASANOVA and TF moved to center sitting with the chair, very very close to our seat (cause we sat on the 2nd row) and MI played very Latin flavored solos so much.

More surprise, there's a gift for attendees of CD which include 2 songs"LOVE SONGS" and "TAIYO" played live @ Joe's Pub, really nice souvenir for us anyway.
Live edition of "Ginza" @ Joe's Pub is now available on iTunesStore, check this out!

DAVIDBOWIESTATIONTOSTATION

I'm not a novice Bowie fan. The 1st album I listened to Bowie's on real time was SCARY MONSTERS. Yes I have some albums, STAGES, HEROES and ZIGGY STARDUST, but not much. The reason why I purchased this one is that Live show of Nassau Coliseum Uniondale, NY is included with this release. I was blew out my mind Bowie's stage performance was so strong, stunning and absolute in the 70's.

EMI are excited to announce the release of a 3-CD Special Edition and 5-CD, DVD and heavyweight vinyl Deluxe Edition of David Bowie's hugely influential 1976's album, Station To Station.

Both the Special and Deluxe Editions come with the original album - taken straight off the analogue master – and the much bootlegged live favourite and previously unreleased Live Nassau Coliseum '76. Additionally, the Special Edition includes:

- A 16-page booklet

Along with the 3-CDs in wallets, it's all packaged in a lift-off-lid box.

DORIS TROY

This is the 2nd time I bought this album as well as Billy's "That's the way". Sound impression is the same as other remaster, but more clear for my ears. Really funky album all the time.

The self-titled Apple album from the legendary Doris Troy, nicknamed ‘Mama Soul’ by her British fans, is an exciting union of R&B, gospel and rock. It showcases four little-known songs that Doris co-wrote with George Harrison, two of which also credit Stephen Stills and Ringo Starr. Other guests include Billy Preston, Peter Frampton and Eric Clapton.
This Remastered CD includes the five Bonus Tracks that appeared on the 1992 CD reissue, plus an additional, previously unreleased, alternative version of ‘All That I’ve Got (I’m Gonna Give It To You)’, written with Billy Preston and issued by Billy as his third Apple single in 1970.
  • ‘All That I’ve Got (I’m Gonna Give It To You)’ / co-written with Billy Preston
  • ‘Get Back’ / Beatles cover version and the B-side to Doris’ second Apple single ‘Jacob’s Ladder’
  • ‘Dearest Darling’ / a Doris original unreleased until 1992
  • ‘What You Will Blues’
  • ‘Vaya Con Dios’ / the B-side to ‘Ain’t That Cute’ in 1970
  • ‘All That I’ve Got (I’m Gonna Give It To You)’ / newly discovered alternative version
Tracks are as follows;
1.Ain't That Cute
2.Special Care
3.Give Me Back My Dynamite
4.You Tore Me Up Inside
5.Games People Play
6.Gonna Get My Baby Back
7.I've Got To Be Strong
8.Hurry
9.So Far
10.Exactly Like You
11.You Give Me Joy Joy
12.Don't Call Me No More
13.Jacob's Ladder
14.All That I’ve Got (I’m Gonna Give It To You) (CD Bonus)
15.Get Back (CD Bonus)
16.Dearest Darling (CD Bonus)
17.What You Will Blues (CD Bonus)
18.Vaya Con Dios (CD Bonus)
19.All That I’ve Got (I’m Gonna Give It To You) (CD Bonus)

Billy Preston THAT’S THE WAY GOD PLANNED IT

Actually, this is the 2nd time (1st time is 1991 1st issue on CD format) and one of the best Apple released album all the time.
Sound is more bass centric, emphasized like The Beatles remaster last year. I like this edition better than previous release except the cheap paper sleeve, I think more love is needed, especially the jacket of all remaster of Apple Records catalogue.

Billy Preston’s debut album for Apple Records was his vocal album debut too. Before this Billy was renowned merely as a wizard instrumentalist. Here, his impassioned vocals help create one of the best soul records of the 1960s. Produced by George Harrison, That’s The Way… expands Billy’s palette of gospel and R&B to embrace rock elements brought in by A-list players Keith Richards, Ginger Baker and Eric Clapton.
This Remastered CD includes the three bonus tracks from the 1991 CD plus the previously unreleased ‘Something’s Got To Change’
  • ‘Through All Times’
  • ‘As I Get Older’ / an instrumental produced by Ray Charles and the 1970 B-side to Billy’s second Apple single, ‘All That I’ve Got (I’m Gonna Give It To You)’
  • ‘That’s The Way God Planned It’ / stripped back ‘rock’ version
  • ‘Something’s Got To Change’ / first recorded by Ray Charles in 1967

Tracks are as follows;
1.Do What You Want
2.I Want To Thank You
3.Everything's All Right
4.She Belongs To Me
5.It Doesn't Matter
6.Morning Star
7.Hey Brother
8.What About You
9.Let Us All Get Together Right Now
10.This Is It
11.Keep It To Yourself
12.That's The Way God Planned It (Parts 1 & 2)
13.Through All Times (CD Bonus)
14.As I Get Older (CD Bonus)
15.That’s The Way God Planned It (CD Bonus)
16.Something's Gotta Change (CD Bonus)

BTW, Does anybody know "Hey Brother" and Jimi's "Hey Joe" is the same song?

The Rolling Stones LADIES & GENTLEMAN

I bought this in Blu-Ray and it's fantastic to watch the legendary show of the stones live on stage on Exile tour in 1972.
This is the 1st time I see Mick Taylor played live as the Stones!
Definitely recommend all R'N'R fans, never die without watching this video;-)
I suppose sound quality is superior than DVD (concerning my past experience), so if you have any player that can play Blu-Ray, I strongly recommend Blu-Ray edition.

Billy Preston ENCOURAGING WORDS

This is the 1st time I bought this album.
This is 2010 remaster and added one new previously unreleased track "How ong has the train been gone".
Though this is a paper sleeve Jacket, unfortunately, very cheap finish, uncoated paper reminds me US version of vinyl edition long long ago.
I just want to say I don't feel much love with the series of the release of the remastered version of APPLE albums on 2010.
I'll receive more remastered edition and will write something for each album.

Encouraging Words is steeped in exemplary playing and songwriting… and pure funky soul. Produced by George Harrison and Billy together, it is packed with originals and inspired covers, including 'My Sweet Lord' and 'All Things (Must) Pass' — donated by George before he released them himself — and a unique Harrison-Preston songwriting collaboration, the gospel hymn 'Sing One For The Lord'. This is Billy on the launch pad just before he rocketed to U.S. No.2 success with 'Outta Space' for A&M Records.
This Remastered CD includes the two Bonus Tracks from the 1993 release along with ‘How Long Has The Train Been Gone’ which is a previously unreleased track
  • ‘As Long As I’ve Got My Baby’ / originally the planned B-side to the cancelled UK ‘My Sweet Lord’ single, Apple 29
  • ‘All That I’ve Got (I’m Gonna Give It To You)’ / co-written with Doris Troy and Billy’s third Apple single in 1970.
  • ‘How Long Has The Train Been Gone’ / written with Bruce Fisher and later re-recorded for Billy’s 1973 album Everybody Loves Some Kind Of Music
Tracks are as follows;
1.Right Now
2.Little Girl
3.Use What You Got
4.My Sweet Lord
5.Let The Music Play
6.The Same Thing Again
7.I've Got A Feeling
8.Sing One For The Lord
9.When You Are Mine
10.I Don't Want You To Pretend
11.Encouraging Words
12.All Things (Must) Pass
13.You've Been Acting Strange
14.As Long As I Got My Baby (CD Bonus)
15.All That I’ve Got (I’m Gonna Give It To You) (CD Bonus)
16.How Long Has The Train Been Gone (CD Bonus)

The Beatles / 1967-1970

This is the 1st of my Beatles album I'd ever bought back in 35 years when I was a junior high school student.
All tracks are in STEREO and I love the selection and the song order for a long time.

The Beatles / 1962-1966

Why I bought this? Just because I want the booklet, Ha Ha!
I couldn't hear the difference between the previously remastered whole album on each songs anyway.
So for me, this is one of the 1st album (in vinyl format) I bought about 35 years ago when I was a junior high school student.
IT'S BEEN A LONG LONG LONG TIME...

John Lennon & Yoko Ono DOUBLE FANTASY / STRIPPED DOWN

I just curious about "STRIPPED DOWN" version, so I bought this.
It's really interesting and I found this album represent John's RAW voice with no echo & other effects affected.
But I can confess it's just as good as the documentation in the way, I mean it's not enjoyable to hear every day.

John Legend & The Roots WAKE UP!

This album will be the best album of the year for me.
Basically the cover album, but I'm not good at R&B legendary songs, so I felt it's like their original album.
It's so cool and groovy as well, I recommend this all people who like music:)

Eric Clapton CLAPTON

Way too cool, lots of cover blues songs, nothing particular I like them.Though I love blues songs performed by EC, I believe the best thing EC done were all contained in the album "From the cradle".
I just like "Diamonds made from rain" as a new song, "Autumn leaves" is good, but I prefer original song EC played anyway.

Katy Perry TEENAGE DREAM

I just love first 3 songs (Teenage dream, Last Friday night and California gurls) since the quality of the rest songs are not so good as the 1st three songs.

MAROON5 HANDS ALL OVER

I was shocked they release the 3rd album in such a short time period (since it took about 5 years to release 2nd album, but this time, just 3 years:).
I like most of the songs, especially "Misery" and "Just the feeling".
I bought this from AMAZON, though this one contain bonus tracks, no "Crazy little thing called love", cover version of QUEEN's classic.
I should have buy @ HMV for EU version....

Sara Bareilles Kaleidoscope Eyes

Very anticipated new album.
I love this album except artwork:->
I hope she'll won some Grammy awards this time.
I really hope she'll do some shows in Japan in the near future.

Expensive croissant

Very expensive croissant, it's yummy but not afford to take every morning.
Also very hard to get it sometimes:(
